Victor Brauner
Ernst Scheidegger met the Romanian-born artist Victor Brauner in the 1950s through the latter’s friendship with Alberto Giacometti. The two artists had known each other since the 1930s when they were members of the group of Surrealists. Scheidegger visited Brauner on a number of occasions in his Paris studio, where many of the photos were taken.
