Le Corbusier

Ernst Scheidegger got to know Le Corbusier in the early 1950s in Paris. He became very engaged in Le Corbusier’s Chandigarh project in India to create a new capital for the federal state of the Punjab. Scheidegger traveled to India several times and visited both the building work in progress and later the completed city.
